Press Release

totaliQ Continues Growth Trajectory in 2019

Date: 27-Feb-2019

totaliQ announces today that it has initiated an implementation project for its knowledge sharing solution with the Cahill Group, one of the largest multi-disciplinary construction companies in Canada. “We are thrilled to help a market leader like Cahill maximize the value of their organizational knowledge” says CEO Andrew Sinclair. “Knowledge sharing and process improvements are crucial to be progressive and competitive”, said Kevin Boudreau of Cahill.  “Lessons learned can become just another database, even when they are properly documented.  We’re looking forward to working with totaliQ to implement a technology solution that enables us to really learn from our experiences.” Cahill joins specialty engineering company trajectorE and the Newfoundland and Labrador chapter of the Project Management Institute as customers of totaliQ’s knowledge sharing solution.

This announcement follows on the heels of totaliQ securing approval for over $300k in funding to implement machine learning capabilities into their cloud-based software platform, which will enable customer organizations to gain further value from their knowledge data. The Government of Canada is providing up to $250,228 through the National Research Council of Canada Industrial Research Assistance Program (NRC IRAP) to support the firm’s research and development activities. Additional funding is coming from the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA), the Newfoundland Association of Technology Industries (NATI), and Mitacs. Dr. Moulay Akhloufi and his team at the Université de Moncton have partnered with totaliQ on the machine learning project.

A resident of Genesis’ Enterprise incubator program for growth phase companies, since October 2018, totaliQ has 6 employees in St. John’s, NL and Toronto, ON, and is in the process of growing its software development team.
